1937 CLASS SONG
Tune: "The Sweetheart of Sigma Chi"
Now our education here is o'er
And we have to bid you adieu,
How we dread to go, our hearts are sore
And we shall be blue for you.
We'll try to attain the goal you've set,
So you'llbe proud that we came from you,
We cannot deny that we can't express
Our gratitude, Wilson High.
The school of our dreams is the best of schools,
Yes, it's dear ole Wilson High,
It's name will e'er to us be dear
And it's mem'ries will linger on.
And now as we say goodbye to you,
With hearts so sad and blue,
We'll e'er be true, to the things taught by you,
Farewell, dear ole Wilson High.
We came to Wilson in '33,
Fresh from the grades and scared were we.
We primped adn preened - wore smart hats,
But upperclassmen only classed us "rats."
From Freshman to Sophomores in '34,
Wise were we, who could ask for more?
We walked the halls and acted just so;
Always fearing the whistle, though!
Gay Juniors then in '35,
We were busy bees in a hive.
With dreams of clubs and dances real,
Can't you guess how we'd feel?
As such dignified Seniors in "36,
With lowerclassmen it was taoo to mix.
But when Baby Day came bounding in,
We even donned rompers with a grin.
With caps and gowns and dresses fine,
Pictures and annuals took all our time.
We were flustered, worried, and proud, too;
Then graduation, and at last we're through!
